Remich sits on the Moselle where the river forms the German border, and its esplanade runs along the water for the better part of a kilometre under plane trees, which makes it the most used riverside in the Luxembourg Moselle. Wine cellars are cut into the hillside behind, several open for visits and tasting, and boats run up and down the river in season. The vineyards climb the slopes above the town.
