Ehnen

Ehnen has kept its old core better than the other Moselle villages: a knot of narrow lanes and courtyard houses behind the riverfront, with the parish church at the centre, which is the only round church in Luxembourg, built in 1826. The village wine museum occupies an old winegrower's house with its presses, cellar and tools, and lays out the working year of a Moselle grower alongside a small vineyard.

Background

Ehnen belongs to the commune of Wormeldange and had 940 residents in 2025. The Moselle Wine Museum is open from early April until the end of October and also houses a bike rental, Rent A Bike Miserland, for exploring the paths along the river and through the vineyards and forest. The medieval centre has covered walkways for pedestrians on Rue Clas von Ehnen, bridges in medieval style, the traces of a watermill and several working wineries.

The museum closes over the winter months. The village is small and an hour or two covers it. Parking in the narrow lanes is difficult.
