Grevenmacher

Grevenmacher is one of the main wine towns of the Luxembourg Moselle, with the Domaines Vinsmoselle cooperative cellars and the Bernard-Massard sparkling wine house both open for visits, the latter making wine by the traditional method since 1921. A tropical butterfly garden operates beside the river, and a marked walk climbs through the vineyards behind the town with views over the valley and into Germany. The town has kept part of its medieval wall and a tower on the landward side, though the riverfront and the wine trade are what most visitors come for.

Cellar visits are commercial with a shop at the end. The butterfly garden is small and seasonal. The town is workaday away from the riverside.
