Getting thereBelow The Valley on the northwestern coast; road down, around ten minutes
EntryFree; restaurant charges

Crocus Bay sits below The Valley on Anguilla's northwestern coast, a beach at the bottom of a steep road with limestone cliffs rising at one end and a restaurant on the sand. Boats run from here around to Little Bay, which has no road access, and kayaks go the same way. The Katouche valley opens behind the bay. The water is calm and the setting more enclosed than the long southern beaches.

What you actually see

  • The cliffs - the limestone rising at the northern end of the bay.
  • The boat access - the run round to Little Bay, which has no road.
  • The beach restaurant - the place operating on the sand.
  • The Katouche valley - the wooded cut opening behind the bay.

When to go

December to April is the dry season and high season. Hurricane season runs June to November. Mornings are calmest for the boat run.

Honest expectations

The beach is small compared with the island's long bays. The road down is steep. Boats and kayaks must be arranged at the beach.

Nearby

Little Bay is north, and The Valley is above.
