Boca Prins

Boca Prins is a small cove on Aruba's windward northeastern coast inside Arikok National Park, a strip of sand between limestone cliffs with big surf coming in unbroken from the Atlantic and sand dunes rising behind it. The water is dangerous. The dunes can be walked and slid down and the cliffs run away in both directions with nothing built on them. Arikok covers around a fifth of the island and this is one of the few points where a vehicle can reach the windward shore.

When to go

December to April is the dry season. The windward coast is rough year round. Trade winds blow constantly.

Good to know

Swimming here is genuinely dangerous; it is not a swimming beach. The track in needs four wheel drive. There is no shade and no facilities.
