Cove Bay lies on Anguilla's southwestern coast between Rendezvous and Maundays, a stretch of soft sand with sea grape and coconut along the back and almost nothing built on it beyond a single beach bar. It is the quietest of the western beaches and the water is shallow a long way out. Saint Martin sits across the channel and the sunsets are the same as its busier neighbours. The bay sits at the western end of the same stretch of coast as Rendezvous, separated by a low point.

What you actually see

  • The undeveloped sand - a beach with almost nothing built along it.
  • The sea grape backing - the vegetation running behind the shore.
  • The shallow water - calm conditions well out from the beach.
  • The single bar - the one place operating on the sand.

When to go

December to April is the dry season and high season. Hurricane season runs June to November. Weekdays are quietest.

Honest expectations

There are almost no facilities beyond the one bar, which keeps limited hours. The access road is rough in places. Sargassum affects the bay in some seasons.

Nearby

Maundays Bay is west, and Rendezvous Bay is east.
