Meads Bay curves along Anguilla's western coast, a long stretch of pale sand facing west with several of the island's larger resorts and best restaurants set behind it, and the sunset over the water is the reason it fills in the evening. The water is calm and clear and the beach is wide enough that the resorts do not crowd it. Anguilla's beaches are all public.

When to go
December to April is the dry season and high season. Hurricane season runs June to November. Evenings are when the beach fills for the sunset.
Honest expectations
The resorts dominate the back of the beach even though the sand is public. Prices at the restaurants are very high. Erosion after hurricanes has narrowed parts of it.
