Savannah Bay runs along Anguilla's southeastern coast, a long strip of sand with scrub behind it, no development at all and usually nobody on it, because the road out is rough and there is nothing there. The Atlantic side gets more swell than the west coast and the water is livelier. Shells and driftwood collect along the tide line and the emptiness is the reason to go. The bay is sometimes called Junks Hole, after the section at its eastern end.

- The empty strip - a long beach with nothing built and usually nobody on it.

When to go
December to April is the dry season. The eastern coast is rougher than the west year round. Hurricane season runs June to November.
Honest expectations
There are no facilities whatsoever and no shade. The track in is rough and easy to miss. Currents on this coast are stronger and swimming needs care.
