Grève de Lecq

Grève de Lecq is the main beach on Jersey's north coast, a sand bay between headlands at the bottom of a wooded valley, with a round Martello tower on the rocks at one end and a set of barracks of 1810 behind, built to house troops guarding a landing place that the authorities considered vulnerable. The barracks are now open as a heritage site. The coastal path runs along the cliffs on both sides.

The barracks keep short seasonal hours. The beach is exposed and the water is cold. Parking behind the beach fills on fine days.
