Getting thereOff the road to Soldeu near Canillo; shuttle bus in summer, cars restricted
EntryFree; shuttle charged in season

The Vall d'Incles runs north from the Soldeu road near Canillo, a broad glacial valley with a flat meadow floor, a stream running through it and slopes rising on both sides, and it is the gentlest walking country in Andorra. Vehicle access is restricted in summer and a shuttle runs instead, which was introduced because the valley was being overwhelmed by parked cars. Trails lead up to the Juclar lakes from its head.

What you actually see

  • The flat meadow floor - the broad valley bottom with the stream running through.
  • The glacial shape - the U-profile the ice left behind.
  • The shuttle access - the summer restriction that keeps cars out.
  • The trails north - the routes up towards the Juclar lakes.

When to go

June to September is the walking season and the shuttle period. Snow closes the upper valley in winter. July and August are busiest.

Honest expectations

Vehicle access is restricted in summer and the shuttle must be used. The valley floor is busy in August despite the restriction. Weather at the head changes quickly.

Nearby

Juclar Lakes are north, and Canillo is south.
