Getting thereCosta Adeje, southern Tenerife; free bus from the resorts, or car
EntryTicket; combined passes with Loro Parque

Siam Park opened in 2008 beside Costa Adeje, built by the owners of Loro Parque in an elaborate Thai style with carved pavilions, a floating market and a temple gate, at a reported cost far above a normal water park. Its signature ride is the Tower of Power, a near-vertical drop of twenty-eight metres that ends in a clear acrylic tube running through a tank holding sharks and rays. The Wave Palace generates waves up to three metres for bodyboarding, and a lazy river runs through most of the site. Southern Tenerife's climate means it operates year-round with reliable sun, which is unusual for a water park in Europe. It has repeatedly topped visitor-voted rankings of water parks worldwide.

What you actually see

  • The Tower of Power - a near-vertical drop through a shark tank tube.
  • The Wave Palace - an artificial beach with waves up to three metres.
  • The Thai theming - carved pavilions, a temple gate and a floating market.
  • The year-round operation - southern Tenerife sun in every season.

When to go

Year-round; southern Tenerife is dry and warm all year. Queues are longest in school holidays and on cruise days. Arriving at opening is the standard advice for the major slides.

Honest expectations

Tickets are among the most expensive water park entries in Europe, and lockers, food and cabanas add considerably. Queues for the headline rides can exceed an hour. The Tower of Power is genuinely intimidating and not for everyone.

Nearby

Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas are alongside; Los Gigantes lies north up the coast.
