Parque Warner opened in 2002 on a large flat site south of Madrid, divided into five zones: a Hollywood boulevard, a western area, a cartoon village for younger children, a movie studio section and DC Super Heroes World, which holds the major rides. Superman: Atracción de Acero is a floorless coaster with a long inversion sequence, Batman Arkham Asylum is a suspended coaster, and Stunt Fall is a large boomerang layout. Shows run through the day and a parade in high season. A separate water park, Parque Warner Beach, operates in summer with its own or a combined ticket. The site is exposed with limited shade, which matters in the Madrid summer.
What you actually see
- The DC coasters - Superman, Batman and Stunt Fall in the superhero zone.
- The cartoon village - rides and areas for younger children.
- The shows and parade - stunt and character performances through the day.
- The water park - a separate summer operation on the same site.
When to go
April to June and September to October for bearable temperatures with a full ride programme; July and August are extremely hot, though the water park compensates. The park closes for much of the winter with a Halloween and Christmas season.
Honest expectations
Shade is limited and Madrid summer temperatures make queuing genuinely hard. Opening days vary by season and the park is closed on many weekdays outside summer. Public transport requires a train and a bus and takes over an hour.
Nearby
Madrid is twenty-five kilometres north; Aranjuez lies southwest along the Tagus.
