Pinnacle@Duxton Skybridge

The Pinnacle@Duxton is a public housing development of seven fifty-storey towers linked by two continuous skybridges, at the twenty-sixth and fiftieth floors, and the upper one is open to the public: a five-hundred-metre garden walkway wrapping the whole development with the city on one side and the port on the other. It is the tallest public housing in Singapore and the highest such bridge anywhere. Numbers are capped daily and entry is by tapping a transport card.

What you actually see

• The 500-metre bridge - a continuous walkway linking seven towers at the fiftieth floor.
• The city view - the central business district on one side of the walk.
• The port view - the container terminals and anchorage on the other.
• The housing context - a public viewpoint inside people's homes.

When to go

Year round; sunset is the best light and the busiest. The daily visitor cap of two hundred is reached on many days, especially at weekends. Arriving early or on a weekday helps.

Honest expectations

The daily cap is real and the bridge closes to visitors when it is reached; arriving late often means being turned away. Residents live here and the bridge is their garden. Photography of flats is not appreciated.
