Two Lovers Point

Two Lovers Point, known in Chamorro as Puntan Dos Amantes, is one of Guam's most famous and scenic spots, a dramatic clifftop soaring some 120 metres above the deep blue Philippine Sea in the north of the island. It takes its name from a beloved and poignant local legend of two young lovers who, forbidden to be together, tied their hair and leapt from the cliff into the sea, and the site is now a place associated with romance. Beyond the legend, the point rewards visitors with truly breathtaking panoramic views, along the rugged coastline, over the sweep of Tumon Bay and across the vast, glittering Pacific. Landscaped with viewing platforms, it is a spectacular and evocative overlook.

December to June, the drier season, brings the clearest, sunniest weather for the views, avoiding the wetter, stormier months; the tropical climate is warm year-round. Clear days offer the finest panoramas over the coast and Pacific.

Two Lovers Point is a paid, landscaped viewpoint that can be busy with visitors, and its appeal is the views and legend rather than extensive activities, so a visit is fairly short. As a dramatic clifftop soaring above the Pacific, steeped in a poignant Chamorro legend and offering breathtaking coastal panoramas, though, Two Lovers Point is a genuinely spectacular and memorable spot.
