Sainte-Anne
A southern village of low coloured houses beside the island's best known beaches.

Sainte-Anne sits at the southern end of the island, a village of low painted houses around a church and a small square, with a market on the seafront and a series of beaches running north and south from it. Les Salines, the beach the island is best known for, is a few minutes further south. The village is genuinely pretty and busy in season, and the pace drops sharply once the day visitors have gone.

- The town beach - the sand running north from the village.
- The southern position - Les Salines and the southern beaches a few minutes away.
When to go
December to April is high season and the village is busy. Summer is quieter and hotter. Market days bring the most life.
What to expect
It is very crowded in season and parking becomes difficult. Prices in the village are among the highest on the island. Many restaurants close outside the season.
