The Küefer-Martis-Huus at Ruggell is a restored farmhouse of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries kept as a cultural centre and museum, with rooms furnished to the period, a garden of old varieties and changing exhibitions on the landscape and rural life of the northern lowland. It sits close to the Ruggeller Riet and the two are usually combined. The name is the family the house belonged to. The house was bought by the municipality and restored in the 1990s rather than being demolished, which was the more usual fate.
