Warwick Long Bay is the longest continuous stretch of sand on the south shore, close to a kilometre, backed by low dunes and scrub with a limestone stack standing in the water a short way out. It is part of the South Shore Park, and because it is longer and has fewer facilities than Horseshoe Bay it is markedly less crowded. A coastal path runs from it east to Jobson's Cove and the smaller bays.

When to go
May to October is the swimming season. There is no lifeguard, unlike Horseshoe Bay. Hurricane season runs June to November and brings swell.
Honest expectations
There is no lifeguard and the south shore surf can be strong. Facilities are minimal. The sand is exposed and there is almost no shade.
