Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity
Hamilton's Anglican cathedral, built in Bermuda limestone from 1886 after fire destroyed its predecessor.

The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Hamilton was begun in 1886 after an arson attack destroyed the church that stood there, and it was built over the following decades in Bermuda limestone with Scottish sandstone and Nova Scotian stone for the detail, in an early English Gothic manner. The tower can be climbed, one hundred and fifty-five steps to a platform with a view over Hamilton, the harbour and much of the island.

Year round; the cathedral is open daily outside services. The tower has limited opening hours. Sunday services fill it.
What to expect
The tower stair is narrow, steep and enclosed. It closes during services and for funerals. The building is late nineteenth century rather than historic in Bermudian terms.

Hamilton centre surrounds it, and the harbour is south.
