St Peter's Church

St Peter's in St George's has held services since 1612, which makes it the oldest Anglican church in continuous use outside the British Isles, though the present building is a rebuilding of 1713 with later additions after storms took earlier versions. Inside are a cedar altar of 1615, box pews, a gallery and a font brought from England. The churchyard holds graves from four centuries, with a separate section that was used for enslaved and free Black Bermudians.

It is a working church and closes for services and funerals. The current building is largely eighteenth century rather than 1612. The segregated burial ground is presented directly and is uncomfortable.
