Getting thereOn the coastal path in South Shore Park, Warwick Parish; walk from Warwick Long Bay
EntryFree

Jobson's Cove is a pocket of sand almost completely enclosed by limestone, with a gap of a few metres letting the sea in, so the water inside stays shallow and flat when the shore outside is breaking. That makes it the beach parents with small children are pointed to, and it is small enough that a couple of dozen people fill it. It is reached on foot along the coastal path from Warwick Long Bay.

What you actually see

  • The enclosed pool - a cove almost ringed by rock with a narrow entrance.
  • The calm water - shallow and flat when the open shore is breaking.
  • The rock walls - the weathered limestone enclosing the sand.
  • The coastal path - the walking route linking it to the neighbouring bays.

When to go

May to October is the season. It fills very quickly given its size. Hurricane season runs June to November.

Honest expectations

It is genuinely tiny and a couple of dozen people make it crowded. There are no facilities and it is reached only on foot. Shade is limited to the rock.

Nearby

Warwick Long Bay is west, and Stonehole Bay is between.
