Fjallbacka is a row of white wooden houses along a harbour with Vetteberget rising immediately behind, and the cleft in that rock - Kungsklyftan, a deep split with boulders jammed overhead - can be climbed by steps from the square for a view over the skerries. Ingrid Bergman summered on Danholmen offshore for over two decades and the square carries her name and a bust. Camilla Lackberg set her crime novels here and grew up in the village, which brings a second stream of visitors. Boats run out to the islands and to Vaderoarna, the weather islands, further offshore.
