Rainforest Wild Asia

Rainforest Wild Asia is the newest of the Mandai parks, built into a former quarry so that the habitat works vertically: animals are shown at different levels of the rainforest, from the forest floor up through the understorey to the canopy, with visitors moving between them. Alongside the animal habitats it offers physical routes, climbing structures and a cave section, which is a departure from the standard zoo model.

What you actually see

When to go

Year round; early morning is coolest. The adventure elements have height and age restrictions worth checking. Weekends and school holidays are busiest.

It is the newest and most expensive of the Mandai parks and the planting is young. The adventure sections carry extra charges and restrictions. Combination tickets across the Mandai parks add up quickly.
