Woodlands Waterfront runs along the northern shore facing the Johor Strait, with a jetty of about four hundred metres running out into the water that is the longest of its kind in Singapore and is used for fishing. From the end the Malaysian shore is close enough to make out buildings, and the Causeway crosses to the west. The park is lawns, casuarinas and a playground, and it is one of the better places on the island for sunset.

- The jetty - a 400-metre pier into the strait, used by fishermen.
- The Malaysia view - the Johor shore about a kilometre across the water.
- The Causeway - the road and rail link to Malaysia visible west.
- The sunset - one of the better west-facing viewpoints on the island.
When to go
Year round; sunset is the best hour and the jetty fills for it. Early morning is quiet. Afternoon storms are frequent and the jetty is exposed.
Honest expectations
The jetty has no shade and is exposed to sun and storms. The water is a busy strait and not for swimming. Public transport requires a walk from the MRT.
