Young Island

Young Island lies a couple of hundred metres off the Villa shore on St Vincent's southern coast, a wooded rock of around thirteen acres run as a single resort since the 1960s, with cottages set into the hillside among heavy planting and a beach on the landward side. A ferry crosses on call. Fort Duvernette stands on the plug immediately behind it, and the channel between island and mainland is a busy anchorage.
