Dark View Falls

Near the leeward road's northern end, where Saint Vincent starts feeling properly wild, Dark View delivers two waterfalls for one short walk: a swaying bamboo-and-plank bridge crosses the river to a trail that arrives first at the lower fall - a tall ribbon into a broad, swimmable pool - and then climbs stairs to the upper fall's more private plunge. Rainforest walls close in green on all sides, the water runs mountain-cold, and changing huts and viewing decks keep the modest infrastructure exactly sufficient. On quiet days the only sound louder than the falls is the bamboo creaking.

Honest expectations

The pools are cold enough to make entry a decision - most find it a happy one. Rocks are slick everywhere; water shoes earn their space. The site is compact: an hour suffices without the drive, which from Kingstown is a winding ninety minutes each way - combine with the leeward coast rather than making it a lone target.
