Trinity Falls lie in the rainforest on the western flank of La Soufrière, three drops on the same river within a short distance of each other, the lowest falling into a pool at the head of a gorge. The approach is a rough track inland from Richmond followed by a walk down into the valley, and the route has changed more than once after storms and after the 2021 eruption dropped ash across the whole area.

What you actually see

  • The three falls - the drops in sequence on the same river.
  • The pool - the basin at the base of the lowest fall.
  • The gorge - the steep valley the falls run into.
  • The rainforest - the forest on the volcano's western flank.

When to go

December to May is the dry season and the safest. Rain raises the river and closes the route. Access has been affected by volcanic activity.

Honest expectations

The track and trail have been damaged repeatedly by storms and by the 2021 eruption; check locally before going. A guide is effectively necessary. There are no facilities.

Nearby

Richmond Beach is west, and Chateaubelair is south.
