Marigot is a small bay on the north coast between Lorient and Grand Cul-de-Sac, with a short beach, houses set back among the vegetation and reef close enough in that you can swim out to it from the sand. It is one of the quieter places on the island and there is nothing built on the beach. Sea turtles feed on the grass beds inside the bay.

When to go
December to April is the dry high season. Northerly swell can stir the water in winter. June to November is the hurricane season.
Honest expectations
There are no facilities and no shade to speak of. Parking is very limited on the road above. Turtles are protected and should not be followed or touched.
