Gazivoda, also called Ujmani, is a long reservoir in the hills of northern Kosovo formed by a dam on the Ibar, the largest body of water in the territory and the source of much of its water supply and hydroelectric power. Wooded slopes run down to the shore and the lake winds between them for tens of kilometres. Fishing and boating happen on it and the road along the shore is scenic.

When to go
May to September is the comfortable season. Water levels vary with the season and with power generation. Winter is cold and the shore empty.
Honest expectations
Facilities around the lake are very limited. It is a working reservoir and swimming areas are informal. The area is remote and services are few.
