Half Moon Beach is a small crescent of sand on the Hanover coast between Negril and Lucea, with a reef close in that keeps the water flat, a tiny islet a short swim offshore, and a bar and grill under the trees at the back. It is a fraction of the size of Seven Mile and correspondingly quieter, used mostly by people who want a beach without the strip behind it. Kayaks and snorkel gear are rented on site.

When to go
December to April is the drier season and the calmest. Hurricane season brings swell and washes sand off the beach. Weekdays are quietest.

The beach is small and a few groups fill it. Facilities are basic and depend on the bar being open. Sand levels change considerably with the weather.
