Tagachang sits on Guam's eastern coast below a steep road that drops off the highway to the shore, a beach of coarse sand and rock facing the open Pacific with a reef flat in front of it and no development behind. Because it is on the windward side it is rougher than the Tumon beaches and gets far fewer people. Picnic shelters sit under the trees at the back.
