The Garden of the Sleeping Giant sits at the foot of the Nausori Highlands north of Nadi, under the ridge whose outline gives it the name, and it began as Raymond Burr's private orchid collection in the 1970s. Burr collected Asian and Pacific orchids seriously, and the garden that opened to the public after his death keeps the collection along with jungle boardwalks, lily ponds and a canopy of native trees. It is the standard morning out from Nadi.
