Proizd

Proizd lies off the western end of Korcula, uninhabited, wooded in pine, with a shore that is the reason to go: on the northern side the rock is worn into large flat white slabs that step down into deep clear water, so people swim off stone rather than sand or shingle. Bili Boci and the other bays there have been named among the better beaches in Europe by the usual lists. A single seasonal restaurant operates and there is nothing else on the island - no shop, no accommodation, no water supply. Boats run from Vela Luka through the summer and stop entirely outside it.

Honest expectations

Boat times control the visit and there is no service off season. There is no fresh water and one restaurant - bring what you need. The stone slabs are slippery and there are no ladders in places. Entry to deep water is immediate.
