Donji Miholjac Manor

The Mailath manor at Donji Miholjac was completed in 1905 for Count Mailath and built to a design in the English Tudor manner - half-timbering, tall chimneys, mullioned windows and a rambling asymmetric plan - which makes it an oddity on the flat Slavonian plain, where the local nobility built classical or baroque. It stands in a park with the Drava and the Hungarian border a short distance away. The building now serves as the town's administrative offices, so the interior is not a museum; the exterior and the park are what visitors see, and the contrast between the architecture and the setting is the point.

Things to know
