Lenzerheide

Lenzerheide sits at about fifteen hundred metres on a broad saddle between the Churwalden and Albula valleys, with the Heidsee - a lake with a peninsula and two basins - in the middle of the plateau and mountains on both sides. That layout gives it something most resorts lack: lifts rise from the valley floor in two directions, to the Rothorn on the east and Piz Scalottas and the Danis on the west, so the ski and walking areas face different ways and the sun moves between them through the day. The Rothorn cable car connects the area with Arosa over the ridge, creating one of the larger linked domains in Graubunden. Biathlon and mountain bike world events are held here.

December to April, or June to September. Two days.

Honest expectations

The resort is spread along a main road rather than gathered as a village. Between seasons much closes. Prices are Graubunden resort level. The plateau can be windy and exposed.
