Ribersborg Kallbadhus

The bathhouse has stood on its pier off Ribersborg since 1898, a wooden building reached by a long walk out over the water, and it works as it always has: separate men's and women's sections, open-air decks, saunas heated by wood, and steps straight down into the Oresund. Bathing is naked in the sections, which is the convention and not negotiable. People swim through the winter, going from the sauna into water close to freezing, which is the reason many come. There is a small cafe. From the deck the Oresund bridge is in view to the south and the Danish coast opposite.
