Simpson Bay is a long curve of pale sand on the southwest coast, running from the airport end to the village, with calm shallow water for most of its length and restaurants and bars strung along the road behind it. Aircraft come in overhead on the approach at the western end. It is one of the easier beaches on the island to reach and one of the longer ones to walk.

When to go
December to April is the dry high season. June to November is the hurricane season. Weekends bring the most people.
Honest expectations
The eastern end is busy with hotels and the beach is not quiet. Aircraft noise is constant at the western end. Sargassum weed washes up in some months.
