Cesta Tower

Cesta stands on the highest point of Monte Titano at 755 metres, the second of the three towers, built in the thirteenth century on the site of an earlier Roman fort and now holding a museum of ancient weapons with several hundred pieces from the medieval period onward. The ridge path from Guaita, the Passo delle Streghe, runs along the cliff edge between them. The museum was set up in 1956 and the collection was assembled largely by donation.

It gets crowded in high season. The weapons museum is dated in presentation. The ridge path between the towers is exposed and narrow in places.
