Getting thereNear Soufriere on the Fond St Jacques road; road access with a short walk
EntrySmall fee

Toraille drops around fifteen metres over a rock face into a shallow pool near Soufriere, set in a small garden of tropical planting with a path running to the base so visitors can stand under the water. It is the most accessible waterfall on the island and is on most tour itineraries, which means it is rarely quiet. The garden and the fall together take about an hour. The fall sits on the Fond St Jacques road, which continues up into the interior toward the Edmund Forest.

What you actually see

  • The fall - around fifteen metres over the rock face.
  • The pool - the shallow basin at the base, waded into.
  • The garden - the tropical planting laid out around the site.
  • The easy access - a fall reachable in minutes from the road.

When to go

June to November is the wet season and the fall runs hardest. The dry season reduces it. Cruise days bring tour groups through.

Honest expectations

It is small and heavily visited, on nearly every tour itinerary. Flow drops noticeably in the dry season. A fee is collected and the site is commercially run.

Nearby

Soufriere is west, and the Pitons are southwest.
