Marché de la Condamine

The market on the Place d'Armes in La Condamine has run since 1880, a covered hall with produce stalls outside and a run of small counters inside serving food: socca, barbagiuan, pasta, fish, and the Ligurian and Niçois cooking Monaco actually eats. It is the least expensive food in the principality and the place where residents rather than visitors go. The Place d'Armes has held a market since long before the hall was built, and the site is one of the oldest continuously used in the principality.

It is small and an hour or two covers it. The food counters are busy at lunch and seating is limited. Not everything is as cheap as its reputation suggests.
