EntrySmall landowner fee

Liduduhniap is a pair of falls dropping side by side into pools in the interior of Pohnpei, reached on a short walk down from where the road ends in the Nett valley, and the lower pool is deep enough to swim in with the water coming down through jungle on both sides. A family owns the land and collects a small fee at the top. It is the easiest of the Pohnpei falls to reach.

What you actually see

  • The twin falls - two drops side by side into the same basin.
  • The lower pool - deep enough to swim under the falls.
  • The short walk - a brief descent from where the road ends.
  • The jungle valley - dense growth closing over the water on both sides.

When to go

December to March is the drier season, though Pohnpei is wet in every month. Flow is heaviest after rain. The path is slippery in any weather.

Honest expectations

Pohnpei is one of the wettest places on earth and the path is muddy and slippery whenever you go. The landowner fee is collected in cash at the top. There are no facilities.

Nearby

Kolonia is north, and Nahnalaud is south.
