Robbesscheier at Munshausen is a working reconstruction of an Ardennes farm and village trades, built around the Ardennes draught horse that did the work of these hills before machinery: visitors go out in horse-drawn carts, and the workshops cover baking, weaving, beekeeping, blacksmithing and the making of the wooden clogs the region wore. It is aimed largely at families and school groups and everything is hands-on.

When to go
April to October is the main season; winter opening is reduced. Weekends and school holidays are busiest. Booking helps for workshop activities.

It is aimed at families and children and adults without them may find it thin. Workshops run to a schedule and not all operate every day. It is a reconstruction rather than a historic site.
