The boiling springs at River Sallee are a set of small pools in the northern part of Grenada whose surfaces bubble constantly, not from heat but from volcanic gas coming up through the water, so the pools are cold to the touch despite the name. They are used in Spiritual Baptist and other observances and are treated as a sacred site by people locally, with offerings left at the water.
