Bianca C Wreck

The Bianca C was a 180 metre Italian liner that caught fire in St George's harbour in 1961; the crew and passengers were taken off by Grenadian boats, and the ship was towed clear and sank in deep water off the south coast. She lies on her side in thirty to fifty metres and is the largest diveable wreck in the Caribbean, often called the Titanic of the Caribbean by operators here.

December to May has the calmest conditions. Current on the site is often strong in any season. Visibility varies considerably.

Practical notes

This is a deep dive with strong current and requires advanced certification and experience. Conditions cancel the trip frequently. The wreck is deteriorating and penetration is not advised.
