Naag Mandir Temple

The Naag Mandir north of Labasa is built around a natural rock formation shaped like a cobra's head, venerated as a manifestation of the serpent deity. Devotees hold that the stone continues to grow, and the temple roof has been raised more than once to accommodate it, which is the detail every account repeats. The temple draws pilgrims from across Fiji and is one of the more significant Hindu sites in the country.

May to October is the drier season. Festival days, particularly around Naag Panchami, bring large numbers. Mornings are quieter for a general visit.
