Kula sits in a forested valley on the Coral Coast and is the main captive breeding centre in Fiji for species that are in trouble: the crested and banded iguanas, both endemic and both endangered, and the kula parrots the park is named for. Walkways run through the forest canopy past aviaries, and there is a small display on the reef and a hatchery for hawksbill turtles. It is the only reliable place to see Fiji's endemic reptiles.

- The canopy walkway - a raised path through the forest between enclosures.
- The turtle hatchery - hawksbill turtles reared for release.
When to go
May to October is the drier season and the most comfortable. Mornings are when the birds are active. The park is open daily.
Honest expectations
The animals are in enclosures and this is a breeding and education centre rather than a wild encounter. It is small and two hours covers it. Some enclosures are dated.
Nearby
Sigatoka is west, and the Coral Coast resorts are along the road either side.
