Emlembe rises to 1862 metres on the border with South Africa above Bulembu and is the highest point in Eswatini, a rounded grassland summit rather than a peak, with the Barberton mountain land running away to the north and the plantations of the northwest below. The rock underfoot is part of the Barberton greenstone belt, among the oldest exposed geology on the planet. There is no marked path to the top.

When to go
April to September is drier with clearer views. Summer mist covers the top for days at a time. Winter mornings are cold and frost is possible.

There is no marked route and a guide or good navigation is needed. The summit sits on the border and access crosses private and plantation ground. Mist closes the view frequently.
