Altos de Nsork covers a block of rainforest in Equatorial Guinea's southeastern interior on the Gabonese border, hilly ground carrying continuous canopy with forest elephant, western lowland gorilla, chimpanzee and mandrill in it. It is one of the least visited parks in a country where few parks see visitors at all. There is no infrastructure and access is by rough road and then walking with guides. The park covers around seven hundred square kilometres and adjoins forest on the Gabonese side of the border.

When to go
December to February is the drier season and the practical window. The long rains make roads impassable. Wildlife is heard rather than seen in any season.
Honest expectations
There is no infrastructure, no accommodation and no organised access; everything must be arranged privately with permits. Wildlife sightings are very unlikely. Hunting pressure in the region is heavy.
