Pulu Blan Madar is one of the smaller islets in the eastern chain of the Cocos atoll, a low patch of coral sand and scrub with nobody on it, and the ground is used by seabirds. The water around the eastern islets is shallow and very clear, and boats work through it carefully. Reaching the islet means a charter and a landing that depends on the tide. The eastern chain runs for several kilometres and the islets in it are separated by shallow gaps.
