Margaret Knoll stands on the east coast cliff with a platform out over the drop, and the wind coming up the face carries frigatebirds and boobies past at eye level, which is what people come for. The view runs along the terraced cliffs north and south. Whale sharks are sometimes visible in the water below in season, and it is one of the better places on the island simply to sit.

When to go
May to November is the dry season. Seabird activity is best when the wind is up the cliff. Whale sharks are a summer possibility rather than a certainty.

There are no facilities beyond the platform. The road out is unsealed in places. Wind on the cliff is strong and there is no shelter.
