The beach on Barbuda's western side was renamed in 2011 for Diana, Princess of Wales, who holidayed on the island more than once, and it runs for kilometres as a strip of sand tinted pale pink by crushed shell, with the Caribbean on one side and low scrub behind. There is almost nothing on it. Barbuda's beaches are the reason most people come and this is the best known of them.

When to go
December to April is the dry season. Hurricane season runs June to November. Barbuda was badly hit in 2017 and recovery continues.
Honest expectations
There is no shade, water or facility anywhere on the beach. Barbuda has very limited accommodation, especially since the 2017 hurricane. Getting there means a ferry or a light aircraft.
